Who are we?

Chorlton Open Gardens is a committee of volunteer gardeners, running a regular local garden open day, raising funds for 2 charities: Freedom From Torture and Chorlton Refugee Aid (Care UK).

Chorlton Open Gardens uses our website and Facebook page to publicise our open days, and to allow visitors and prospective gardeners to get in touch with us.

At present we do not offer an email newsletter about our general activities, but may develop this in future.

Your email address may be retained on the site if you contact us, but we do not keep your personal data for marketing or publicity purposes. We do not collect phone numbers on the website, and will not contact you by phone or text message, unless specifically requested in your email to us.

We collect contact details of prospective, past, and current Open Gardens participants, and store them securely on a spreadsheet.  We share these details with committee members and nominated volunteers, and use these details only to communicate about Open Gardens events.  Past gardeners are not contacted unless they have requested further communications from the committee.
